This is the first time I have used a product like this and I was pleasantly surprised. Easy and straightforward use and not too difficult to clean. It has several modes with thrusting and rotating action. It made a bit more noise than I had anticipated, but wasn't that much once I thought about the motor and the mechanics of it. Does not vibrate and is not heated. Battery life seems to last quite a while, but will deplete if it is not used for a while. Power button must be held for a couple of seconds to start and the plus button must be pressed to cycle through the settings. And then the minus button to go back. This thing does the trick and has not declined in performance after several months of use. I got it over a year ago (Sept 2022), and it just doesn't get old. Its fast rotation combined with the thrusting motion is just, omg... amazing!
What sets it apart from other spin/thrust combos is its faster spinning speed and relatively much slower stroking speed. It spins 3 revolutions for every 1 full stroke (full = up + down, half = up OR down). Top speed is 330 rpm (i.e. 5.5 revs/sec), and 220 half-strokes/min (i.e. 3.7 half-strokes/sec).
Compared to another spin/thrust combo that I've tried—with 1:1 instead of 3:1 rev-to-stroke ratio, top speed 200 rpm, and 400 half-strokes/min—the device under review spins much faster (5.5 vs. 3.3 revs/sec) and thrusts slower (3.7 vs. 6.7 half-strokes/sec). Having the speeds different this way makes this (reviewed) device hands-down perfect for me!
The fast rotation is incredibly stimulating and way more intense than stroking. It's a unique, unbelievably arousing sensation that you can't really even imagine without experiencing it. On the other hand, the comparison device strokes so fast that it quickly becomes numbing, and diminishes the whole experience.
It took a few days to really become familiar with this device—especially its 7 modes, and appreciate each of them. I'll describe them below to help you discover the intoxicating sensations this machine is capable of producing:
#1 – spins 330 rpm and does a full stroke (up & down) once in every 3 revolutions (i.e. 220 half-strokes/min). Keeps going at full speed, never stops. This is a good "finish me off" mode.
#2 – like #1 but in reverse direction. Some people experience a very different sensation spinning one way as opposed to the other. Others can't tell any difference. So if you belong to the second group and are wondering why there are modes for both directions—well now you know. I might be an extreme case of that: counter-clockwise feels incredibly nice, but going clockwise is rather unpleasant. That's why I'm especially happy that both modes are included.
#3 – rotates 1 sec counter-clockwise, then 1.4 sec clockwise; repeats. The reversals are abrupt and create kind of a sudden jolt that feels nice.
#4 – constantly alternates direction, doing it for two alternating rates and periods of times: first, 10 repeats of 1 sec; then 26 repeats of 0.65 sec (i.e. 10 seconds at 1 Hz, then 17 seconds at 1.5 Hz). This is the longest sequence of this device, at 27 sec total.
#5 – very quick, momentary rotating jerk counter-clockwise, 0.65 sec pause, rotate 3.5 secs (20 turns) clockwise, another 0.65 sec pause; and keep repeating. Very nice to keep running for a while: it sensitizes me to this motion, and produces a long, slow build-up. The momentary jerk followed by a long 20-revolution spin with intervening pauses provides a strong contrast between the two directions.
#6 – evenly alternates 0.8 sec pauses with 0.8 sec rotating (equal to ~4 revolutions), repeating in alternating directions. A nice alternative to #5 for slow build-up. Modes #5 and #6 are the only ones that pause between changing direction.
#7 – alternates direction rapidly 5 times (~1.5 turns each time), then turns much longer on the 6th time (~5 turns).
This device is very quiet. One time I was using it in my room with a pillow on my lap. All of a sudden, my roommate comes home unexpectedly early.
